Privacy Policy
How ConfigUX collects, uses and protects personal data on this website and in related sales and support flows.
Last updated: 12 August 20261. Data controller
ConfigUX is operated by Unika Design ApS, CVR 44163578, Rebekkavej 59, st. 2, 2900 Hellerup, Denmark. For privacy questions, email info@configux.com.
2. Data we process
Depending on how you use the site, we may process:
- Contact and company details submitted through forms, demo booking or support.
- Information about your product, platform, project and preferred ConfigUX product.
- Files you choose to upload to a project form.
- Booking information, time zone and meeting details.
- Order, account and billing information for marketplace purchases.
- The page address, UTM campaign parameters and consent state connected to a request you submit.
- Advertising click identifiers from LinkedIn, Google or Meta only after Marketing consent.
- Technical security logs and, after Analytics consent, website and server-confirmed conversion events.
- Chat messages if the ConfigUX assistant is enabled and you choose to use it.
The Model Planner analyses uploaded 3D files in your browser. Files are not intentionally uploaded to ConfigUX unless you separately submit or import them through a clearly labelled action.
3. Early Access, pre-sign-ups and future trials
When you join Early Access or pre-sign up, we record your required email address, selected ConfigUX product, selected platform and consent. If supplied, we also record your name and company. The form may add language, page address, campaign parameters, submission time and limited technical security data so we can route the request and prevent misuse.
WordPress and WooCommerce requests are recorded as Early Access. Shopify and API / Other requests are recorded as pre-sign-ups because those releases are further away. Neither route creates an account, trial, subscription or payment. We use the details to confirm or follow up on the selected release. The entry is explicitly recorded as not including general marketing consent. We do not send unrelated marketing unless you later make a separate, voluntary choice. You can withdraw the request at any time by emailing info@configux.com.
If you later activate a 3D Gallery Configurator or 2D/3D Product Configurator trial, we may process account, installation, selected-product, licence-status and support information needed to administer it. The 14-day trial does not require payment-card details and creates no automatic charge. If no paid subscription is purchased before the trial ends, paid features are disabled while configurators and customer data remain in the installation.
4. Anonymous pricing survey
The optional pricing survey shown after an English demo booking helps us compare pricing expectations for the defined 360 Service example and decide whether to focus more on complete service delivery or the self-service software. The answers are used only for this pricing and product-direction research.
The survey is stored separately from booking and lead records. Each survey record contains only the four price answers, EUR as the currency, the fixed survey scope version and a broad response month.
The survey application does not store your name, email address, telephone number, booking ID, account ID, source URL, campaign parameters, advertising identifiers, cookie identifiers, IP address or exact submission time with the answers. It does not create a technical link that allows us to retrieve a survey response by reference to your booking or identity. Opening, interacting with or submitting the survey does not create an analytics or marketing conversion event. Standard hosting and security systems may still process short-lived technical request logs separately from the survey answers.
5. Campaign and conversion measurement
Analytics and Marketing technologies are optional. ConfigUX uses Basic Consent Mode: optional tags are held back until the matching category is granted. Analytics consent can enable ConfigUX Insights, Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity. Marketing consent can enable LinkedIn Insight Tag, Meta Pixel and approved Google advertising tags.
A form or booking creates a conversion event only after the server confirms that the request was saved. Client-side conversion events contain technical fields such as a random event ID, event name, lead type and internal priority points. They do not contain your name, email address, telephone number, message or other form answers. The anonymous pricing survey does not create a conversion event. For the first LinkedIn setup, only selected high-intent actions are eligible for the LinkedIn conversion signal.
Your request remains stored in the ConfigUX form or booking system even if optional tracking is rejected, because this is necessary to answer the action you asked us to take. Advertising click identifiers are removed from stored attribution unless Marketing consent is granted.
6. Purposes and legal bases
| Purpose | Typical legal basis |
|---|---|
| Record an Early Access request and notify you about the selected release | Your consent and the action you requested |
| Answer enquiries, provide requested demos and handle support | Steps requested before a contract and our legitimate interest in responding |
| Activate trials, subscriptions, marketplace orders and services | Performance of a contract |
| Maintain security, prevent misuse and document consent | Legitimate interest and legal obligations |
| Optional website analytics | Your Analytics consent |
| Optional advertising measurement and remarketing | Your Marketing consent |
| Accounting and mandatory business records | Legal obligation |
You can withdraw optional consent at any time through Cookie settings in the footer. Withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal.
7. Service providers and transfers
We use service providers where they are needed to run the website, deliver the requested service or perform consented measurement. Depending on the feature and consent categories used, these may include:
- Hostinger for website and database hosting.
- Google Workspace and Google Calendar for business email, files and demo scheduling.
- Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and Google Ads for consented analytics and campaign measurement.
- LinkedIn for consented LinkedIn campaign measurement and audiences.
- Meta for consented Facebook and Instagram campaign measurement and audiences.
- Microsoft Clarity for consented website usability analytics.
- A software licensing and billing provider, but only after a paid software route is enabled and the provider is named in that route.
- WooCommerce and selected payment providers for marketplace orders.
- OpenAI for the optional ConfigUX assistant if it is enabled and used.
Some providers may process data outside the EU/EEA. Where required, we rely on an adequacy decision, approved standard contractual clauses or another valid transfer mechanism. The live list only includes services that are actually enabled.
8. Retention
We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the stated purpose:
- Early Access and pre-sign-up requests: until the selected release has been announced and for no more than 12 months after our final release notification, unless you withdraw earlier.
- Website enquiries and demo requests that do not become active customer records: normally up to 180 days after submission.
- Support and active customer records: for the customer relationship and a reasonable period afterwards.
- Optional ConfigUX analytics events: normally up to 90 days unless a shorter period is configured.
- Consent records: normally up to 180 days.
- Provider cookies and advertising identifiers: according to the durations listed in the Cookie Policy and the provider configuration.
- Accounting and transaction records: for the period required by Danish law.
- Uploaded project files: until the enquiry or project is resolved, then deleted or moved into the agreed customer project storage.
- Anonymous pricing survey answers: only while the fixed survey scope remains relevant to our pricing and product-direction research, after which the row-level answers are deleted or retained only as aggregate statistics. Because no identity or booking link is stored, an individual response cannot be retrieved or deleted by reference to a person or booking.
The forms system runs a daily retention check. The Early Access and pre-sign-up countdown begins only after the date of the final relevant release notification is recorded. We may retain limited records longer where necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
9. Security
We use role-based access, updates, backups, encrypted connections on the live site and restricted handling of credentials. Do not submit passwords, private API keys or unnecessary sensitive personal data through public forms.
10. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, data portability or object to certain processing. You may also withdraw consent. Contact us at info@configux.com. You may complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency or your local supervisory authority.
11. Changes
We update this policy when the website, provider setup or legal requirements change. The current version and update date are published on this page.
